Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is on a seven-day trip to India to promote the state to business owners who would like to locate in the U.S.  Beshear arrived in India Tuesday for his third trip to the world's second most populous nation.  Economic Development Secretary Larry Hayes will join Beshear on the trip.  Beshear's office says an India-based packaging company, Flex Films, is investing $180 million in Kentucky as a result of his previous visit to the country.  Beshear also made economic development trips to Taiwan and Japan in May and Germany and France in July.

Todd Hatton hails from Paducah, Kentucky, where he got into radio under the auspices of the late, great John Stewart of WKYX while a student at Paducah Community College. He also worked at WKMS in the reel-to-reel tape days of the early 1990s before running off first to San Francisco, then Orlando in search of something to do when he grew up. He received his MFA in Creative Writing at Murray State University. He vigorously resists adulthood and watches his wife, Angela Hatton, save the world one plastic bottle at a time.
