Colorful spring unfolds on state website

Kentucky is in full bloom this spring, and the Commonwealth wants to make it easy to find the most colorful spots.  The state Departments of Travel and Parks are sponsoring the Unbridled Spring program again, with a website that includes reports from parks across Kentucky.  The reports are updated weekly, and the agencies say they provide a guide to locations where blooms are most beautiful.  The website is an off-shoot of Kentucky Tourism's site: http://www.kytourismapps.com/seasons . The site also features a calendar of events for springtime activities, a location map for state parks and a children's page with coloring blocks and word games.

Todd Hatton hails from Paducah, Kentucky, where he got into radio under the auspices of the late, great John Stewart of WKYX while a student at Paducah Community College. He also worked at WKMS in the reel-to-reel tape days of the early 1990s before running off first to San Francisco, then Orlando in search of something to do when he grew up. He received his MFA in Creative Writing at Murray State University. He vigorously resists adulthood and watches his wife, Angela Hatton, save the world one plastic bottle at a time.
